Overview
The St. Edward High School Alumni Career
Experience is a partnership between St. Edward High School and the Alumni
Association to provide meaningful opportunities and experiences for juniors and
seniors relating to choosing a career of interest and securing a job in that
field.
Objectives
During the course of the program students
will:·
- Attend a career fair offering a variety of career options interesting
to the students·
- Learn skills for effective interviews and participate in an interview
experience·
- Develop a resume tailored to meet a specific field of interest or type
of job/internship·
- Participate in a shadow experience in which the student spends at least
16 hours shadowing someone in a field of interest.
- Write and submit a post-experience reflection piece·
- Create a personal statement suitable for a college application or a job
interview
