The St. Edward High School
Athletic Department announced the latest class of inductees into the school’s
storied Howard Ferguson Athletic Hall of Fame today.Noted former Eagle athletes include Rodney Bailey, who starred as
a defensive end at Ohio State University before playing seven years in the NFL;
Mike Rupp, who scored the winning goal of the 2005 Stanley Cup Finals for the
New Jersey Devils; Andy Hrovat, who competed as a freestyle wrestler in the
2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and was a three-time college All-American; and
Sam Clancy, who was the star of the school’s 1998 state championship basketball
team and an All-American at the University of Southern California.
The inductions will be
made during the school’s Hall of Fame Dinner on Friday, September 11 at 6 p.m.
at Brennan’s Party Center in Cleveland.On Saturday, September 12, the inductees will be recognized during
halftime of the Eagles varsity football game against the DC Woodson
Warriors.The commemorative game,
played on the school’s Coughlin Field, will be the first varsity football
contest on the St. Edward campus in more than 30 years.

Wow, i just sent a comment about EDSMAN online being out of date ( a year behind) when I pop by this site and see the "LATEST NEWS" in athletics being about purchasing tickets for the the September 2009 induction dinner.
I would think the Green Machine's run for the state championship, along with their first undefeated regular season might be a hot topic to write about.
If you can't keep the pages current, at least delete the out of date pages.
