The St. Edward High School varsity football team won in dramatic fashion tonight to bring home our school's first-ever State Championship Football trophy. CANTON, Ohio — St. Edward ended 39 years of frustration on Saturday night when it rallied from a third-quarter deficit and went on to beat Huber Heights Wayne, 35-28, in the Division I state championship game in Fawcett Stadium.
The victory came in dramatic fashion as the Eagles scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:32 remaining, capping a 60-yard, seven-play drive that rallied them from a 28-27 deficit to a 35-28 lead. Read full story...
