Quinn, 74, of Kelleys Island died unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at his home on Kelleys Island. He was born July 8, 1935, in Lakewood, son of the late George F. and Frances L. (Wasmer) Quinn. He was a member of the first graduating class of St. Edward High School in 1953. Bob then attended the Foreign Service School of Georgetown University where he was a member of Delta Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Bob later graduated from The Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. In 2003 he was awarded the distinguished St. Edward Alumnus "Bronze Eagle Award". Bob worked for Thompson Products Automotive Replacement Parts Division (TRW) traveling to Mexico, Central and South America, Japan, the Far East and Europe. He then worked for Erico Products in Solon, Ohio, where he was transferred to Canada for three years to head a division. In 1976 he and his family returned to Huron where he bought V.A. Fries Lumber Co. and Berlin Heights Hardware Store. He served two terms on Huron City Council and was appointed vice-mayor for one term. He later became a Certified Financial Planner and started Quinn Warren and Associates. Upon his retirement they built a retirement home on Kelleys Island where he spent the majority of his time. While there, he served on the Village Audit Committee, The Kelleys Island School Board and served as the Kelleys Island Airport manager for the past six years. He is survived by his wife, Martha (Kilgore); sons, Rob (Heidi) and Bill; daughter, Julie; grandchildren, Robert, Mckenzie, Anthony, Aleigha, Miles and Selina; brother, George (Carol); sister, Ann (Bill) Doran; 13 nieces and nephews; and good friends, Pauline Keating and Norm Morrow.
