McDONALD, beloved husband of 52 years to Marie (nee Rusyn); father of Kevin, Richard (Kathy) and Jim; grandfather of Michael and Joseph; brother of James (Harriet) and Mary Peel (Dudley, deceased); uncle of many. Mr. McDonald retired young and spent the last 13 years on the golf course, whether working the grounds or "playing a round," he found solace in the loving light of family, friends and nature. Oct 19, 2009 Fellow Alumni, Listed below is the death notice for Bob Quinn '53. Please keep the Quinn family in your prayers. Robert J. Quinn, 74, of Kelleys Island died unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at his home on Kelleys Island. He was born July 8, 1935, in Lakewood, son of the late George F. and Frances L. (Wasmer) Quinn. He was a member of the first graduating class of St. Edward High School in 1953. Bob then attended the Foreign Service School of Georgetown University where he was a member of Delta Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Bob later graduated from The Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. In 2003 he was awarded the distinguished St. Edward Alumnus "Bronze Eagle Award". Bob worked for Thompson Products Automotive Replacement Parts Division (TRW) traveling to Mexico, Central and South America, Japan, the Far East and Europe. He then worked for Erico Products in Solon, Ohio, where he was transferred to Canada for three years to head a division. In 1976 he and his family returned to Huron where he bought V.A. Fries Lumber Co. and Berlin Heights Hardware Store. He served two terms on Huron City Council and was appointed vice-mayor for one term. He later became a Certified Financial Planner and started Quinn Warren and Associates. Upon his retirement they built a retirement home on Kelleys Island where he spent the majority of his time. While there, he served on the Village Audit Committee, The Kelleys Island School Board and served as the Kelleys Island Airport manager for the past six years. He is survived by his wife, Martha (Kilgore); sons, Rob (Heidi) and Bill; daughter, Julie; grandchildren, Robert, Mckenzie, Anthony, Aleigha, Miles and Selina; brother, George (Carol); sister, Ann (Bill) Doran; 13 nieces and nephews; and good friends, Pauline Keating and Norm Morrow. Kinkelaar, Sr. He was a graduate of Lakewood St. Edward's High School. He received his B.S. and M.S. Degrees from John Carroll University. A chemist for nearly his entire career, Ed was Technology and Technical Services Director in Metal Treatment and Finishings. In the last two years, he was working to publish a guidebook of metal coatings and finishing technologies. An inventor with nine patents attributed to his name, he is listed in Who's Who in Business and Industry. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Genevieve Sidoti. William Cummings, 61, entered into rest on Sunday, July 5, 2009 in Stockton. He was born on April 29, 1948 in Ohio to the late Mr. and Mrs. Maurice and Dalin Cummings. He was a resident of Manteca for 25 years. Mr. Cummings is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Janice Cummings of Manteca. His daughters are Katharine Reeves and husband Michael of Rocklin and Robin Strickland and husband John of Fresno. He was blessed by 6 beautiful grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother Bob Cummings of Ohio and 3 sisters, Daline Sherman of Ohio, Maureen Hagerty of Ohio and Judy Cummings of Ohio. Bill was employed by Motion Industries in Tracy for 10 years as an electrical engineer. Before Motion Industries, Bill was in sales for over 25 years for Rockwell Automation out of Pleasanton.
