Gotro and Marjorie Damm Gotro. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Deborah Laska Gotro, his children Crystal Gotro, Duane Gotro and Dana Gotro. Other survivors include his Mother, Marjorie D. Gotro of Ft. Myers, FL, his brother Jeff Gotro of Trabuco Canyon, CA, his sister Kathy Gotro Krebs of Foothill Ranch, CA and his brother Brian Gotro of Parma Heights, OH and nine nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father. Following four years of service in the United States Air Force, he enjoyed a 29 year career in the cement manufacturing industry. Most recently, Craig was President of Cement Pyro and Process Consultants, LLC. He was a member of the IEEE/CIC for over 19 years where he served on both the executive committee and as secretary. Craig enjoyed being outdoors and loved skiing, boating, golfing and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also had an amazing talent for capturing spectacular views through the lens of a camera. BERNICE E. "BREEZY" EGAN of Rocky River died on Sunday, June 8 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Egan came to the Cleveland area from the western prairies of Calgary, Alberta with her husband, the late Gail Egan, a local radio and television personality in the 1950s and 1960s. A resident of Harbor Court Retirement Community, Mrs. Egan was a talented seamstress, created intricate needlepoint and collected thimbles. Born in Moscow, Idaho in 1915, she celebrating her 93rd birthday on June 4, at Harbor Court Retirement Community. Survived by Phyllis Thomas, 95, of Calgary, Alberta. Preceded in death by parents John and Rose Ethridge, sister Fern Torrence and brother Floyd Ethridge. Survived by sons John (Linda) of Johannesburg, South Africa; D'Arcy (Laura) of Marblehead, Ohio; and Kelly (Cheryl) of Lakewood, Ohio. JOSEPH FRANCIS LOOS, 86, of Lorain, died Sunday, May 25 in Lorain. He was born June 15, 1921 in Cincinnati, OH. Bay Village, OH., was his home for most of his life. Joseph served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed with the McGraw-Hill Co. in Bay Village for over 45 years, retiring as a sales manger in 1984. Survivors include his sons, James J. of Amherst and Tom T. of Grafton; his daughters, Barb Ormiston of Temperance, MI., and Marjorie A. Berry of Avon Lake; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary Elizabeth (nee Von Bohre); by his parents Joseph Clarence and Anna Marie (nee Burman); and by his stepmother, Louise Dorothea (nee Westerkamp). RALPH J. REICHLEY, died May 15, 2008 at the age of 85. Born in Somerset, OH., and lived most of his life in Cleveland, OH. Graduated from New Lexington High School and at Ohio University earned a Bachelor's degree in Science in Commerce. Awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Presidential Unit Citation while serving as First Sergeant with Company B of the 376th Regiment of the 94th Infantry Division during WWII. Selected for the Ohio Military Hall of Fame. Member American Legion Clifton Post No. 421 and Holy Name Society of Holy Family Church. Supervisor of Accounting for Tinnerman Engineered Fasteners, Div. of Eaton Corp. for 32 years, retiring in 1982. After retirement took a part time position with HKM Corp. and after working there for 12 years retired again in 1994. Enjoyed dancing, golfing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his beloved children, daughter Kathryn Buchwald (Ron) of Strongsville, sons Keith (Cindy) of N. He was a stockbroker in San Francisco from 1968 to 1992. Lawrence G. Crowell, 64, of Phoenix passed away on April 11, 2008. Larry graduated from Catholic University in Washington, DC with a degree in economics and a lieutenant's commission in the Air Force Reserve; his ambition was to be an Air Force pilot, then a commercial pilot. However, his dream was altered on August 11, 1965, when he suffered a spinal cord injury and was paralyzed after a diving accident. Larry never gave up hope and despite numerous setbacks, operations and therapy, Larry regained much of his ability to use his hands. Larry went on to graduate from Case Western Reserve Law School and received his law degree in June 1969. He practiced law for over twenty years, and was a role model and hero for many individuals, and a well-respected member of his community. Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Loretta, his sister Claudia , and his loving family: Chuck, Frank, Tom, Suzanne, and grandchildren Reid and Allessandra. A Rosary service will be held at Hansen's Desert Hills at 5:00 PM on Monday, April 14, 2008. A Mass in Memoriam will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 11001 N. 40th Street, on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 10:00 AM. DAVID ALEC JAROSZ, 52 passed away at his home on Sunday, March 16, 2008, after a prolonged battle with alcoholism. Dave was born Dec. 28, 1955, in Cleveland. Beloved husband of Mary Abrahamowicz Jarosz; loving father of Benjamin Alec and Kathleen Ashley Jarosz; stepson Joseph H. Smith; devoted son of Peggy and the late Clarence Jarosz. He was the caring grandfather of Destiny Sturgill – Jarosz and Joey D. Jarosz; dearest brother to Hollace Stromberg of Salisbury, NC, Jeffery Jarosz of Charlotte, NC, and Carole Jarosz of Strongsville cherished son-in-law of Helen "Punky" Burke of Alexandria, VA. He was also the adored brother in-law and proud uncle of many. Dave loved sports, especially football and baseball. Some would say that he was the best sports trivia person around. His love of music was known by all. He was a film lover extraordinaire. He also enjoyed the companionship, over the years, of his three dogs, Perri, Rocky and Sammy. MARY THERESA (TERRY) FRATOE (nee Brennan) age 78, passed away on Good Friday. Beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Fratoe; devoted daughter of the late Julia A. Brennan; dearest mother of Mary Kay (Dennis McCormack), Joseph C. and Julie A. Fratoe; loving grandmother of Mary L. (Mollie) MacIvor; cherished sister of Ellen Murphy Mullee (William); aunt of Joan King, Dennis and John Murphy, Kathy Letner, Rita Fritz, Perry and June Gramuglia, Tony and Michael Fratoe; dear cousin of Marie Ribich (Stephen); sister in law of Frank Fratoe of VA; godmother of Anne McGill McDaid of County Donegal, Ireland; cousin to family in Chicago, California and Ireland; and friend of so many. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas School and the former Notre Dame Academy and remained close with her school chums all her life. She worked as a bookkeeper and clerk, was married to a Cleveland policeman, raised three children and retired as a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury Baliff. She was a member of St. James Parish for over 50 years and was an avid reader and movie-goer. She played pinochle with the same group of friends for over 40 years. She loved to travel and she loved her pets. She was a source of strength and support to family and friends alike who will greatly miss her love and generosity and her smiling, Irish blue eyes.
