The Marching Eagles are a corps-style competitive marching band. They are consistent OMEA State Finalists, earning superior ratings at the state level for the last 10 years. Duties of the Assistant Marching Band Director include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the instruction and administration of all aspects of the marching band
  • Teach at home band camp and away band camp
  • Teach and supervise at rehearsals and performances
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner
  • Complete VIRTUS training and update modules as necessary
  • Chaperone as needed at performances and bus rides
  • Keep a working binder of all source material
  • Ensure the safety of students under your instruction within reason
  • Meet briefly with director before and after each rehearsal to plan
  • Woodwind specialization preferred but not required
  • Complete any additional tasks the director requests as necessary

Someone with high proficiency in woodwind instruments and experience with competitive marching is preferred, but all interested parties are encouraged to apply. Performances occur at all home varsity football games, select away varsity football games, competitions, and parades throughout the season.
