HONORS CHEMISTRY LABS SPARK INTEREST IN FUTURE CAREERS ROOTED IN CHEMISTRY Sophomores in Mrs. Erin Schilf's Honors Chemistry course have already participated in two labs within their first four days of school, learning proper lab safety practices, using 90% of the chemistry lab equipment for the first time and learning how to handle certain chemicals, such as acids. In particular, students have been learning how to differentiate between physical and chemical changes. ED'S 2019-2020 THEME UPHOLDS THE PILLAR OF SERVANT LEADERSHIP For the 2019-2020 school year, St. Ed's has chosen, "Go and Do Likewise" as the new theme, focusing on the pillar of Servant Leadership. Christ-like servant leadership is at the heart of our Holy Cross mission. Members of our St. Ed's community are encouraged, as the Holy Cross Constitutions state, to "come not just as servants but as their neighbors." This week's "Best of the Summer" feature kicks off the 2019-2020 school year highlighting how St. Edward High School's Faculty and Staff Members spent their summer. In celebration of their 30th wedding anniversary, Mrs. Cathy Milowicki, Institutional Advancement Database & Donor Relations Manager, and her husband, Chris traveled to Paris and Switzerland this summer. In addition to visiting the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame, Sacré-Cœur and Versailles, a highlight during their trip to Paris was watching the final stage of the Tour de France. They then travelled by train to Lausanne, Switzerland to visit family and spent time hiking in the Alps, visiting the Olympic
