FATHERS CLUB
FATHERS CLUB MISSION
The Fathers Club was formed to foster and encourage a growing bond between students and their fathers/guardians, to sponsor spiritual, social and service functions, to assist in the development of the character, intellect and spirituality of the students and to assist in the achievements of these principles through the mission, tradition and spirituality of the Congregation of Holy Cross.
As the centerpiece of our mission to foster spiritual growth in the Holy Cross Tradition among fathers/guardians and sons, the St. Edward High School Fathers' Club hosts an annual Father-Son Retreat.
MEETINGS & EVENTS
The St. Edward Fathers Club meets regularly from September through June. General meetings are typically held at 7 pm in the school library.

FATHERS CLUB PRAYER
The prayer from our opening meeting, written by Fathers Club Spiritual Chair, Brian McDonough:
Most gracious and loving God, we gather tonight mindful of the many blessings you have bestowed on us and on our beloved Saint Edward High School. We are grateful for the leaders in this room: St. Edward High School President James Kubacki and Fathers Club President Larry Gulling, and those throughout the nation and world who strive to live lives of abundant faith, steadfast hope, and undying love, following the example of Blessed Father Basil Moreau.
As the journey of educating our sons at school and at home continues this year, together may we realize ever more deeply that our education, our prosperity, and our influence are both a privilege and a responsibility to be used to build a more peaceful and just world in the Brothers of Holy Cross tradition, particularly for the most vulnerable and burdened among us.
May our vision and our purpose be strengthened by your grace and guided by your commandment to love and serve, together, this year. We ask that you bless our Saint Edward High School family, the brotherhood of Eagles, past and present. We ask that you bless in a special way our alumni community, which has entrusted its hopes and concerns in us.
Bless our Fathers Club this year and the food and drink we partake in tonight. May we be nourished to lead with fidelity, mindful that it is through the Cross and Resurrection of your Son that we are redeemed. In thanksgiving, we ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
