Welcome to St. Edward Mothers' Club! We are a group of dedicated moms who host special activities for mothers/guardians and their sons. Through fundraising and volunteering, we also support many school-sponsored events that benefit the young men of our school.

 

Although our spring 2020 events were put on hold, we look forward to the day when we are back on campus hosting more great activities. When that time comes, we hope you will join us!

 

Below, please find a list of our typical events, which are temporarily on hold. We will provide dates as soon as we are able. 

 

Mothers' Club 2020-2021 Events: 

 

• Prayer Chain - If you have a special prayer request, we invite you to post it in our private Facebook group so that we may lift you up in prayer. 

• Altar Linens Ironing - Campus Ministry needs volunteers to iron the altar linens monthly after washing.

• Freshmen Mom Welcome - Mothers' Club hosts a meeting especially for freshmen moms to welcome them to the school community, introduce ourselves, and answer questions about the transition from elementary school to high school. Date TBD.

• Fall Open Houses - Student Ambassadors provide tours to prospective students and their families. Mothers' Club provides refreshments. Dates TBD.

• Ed's Threads - Families donate their gently used blue blazers, shirts, ties, and school pants. Tables of clothes are set up during parent/teacher conferences, and students/families are free to take the items they need. Dates TBD.

• Moriah House - Starting in November and running until the end of the school year, Mothers' Club volunteers every second Sunday of the month at Moriah House, a homeless family center in Cleveland.  Mothers and their sons volunteer to help prepare meals, serve dinner, play games with the families, and help with cleanup.

• Service Night - Mothers and Sons work together to benefit the community. In past years we have made no-sew blankets for the needy. Date TBD.

• Catholic Schools Week - This week-long event is sponsored by Mothers' Club. A committee is needed to coordinate aspects for each day of the week. Date TBD.

• Mother/Son Mass and Brunch - St. Ed's Mothers and Sons celebrate mass together in the Holy Family Chapel followed by brunch in the cafeteria. Date TBD.

• Not So Normal Formal - This dinner dance is held for Seniors and their mothers. Volunteers are needed to create and wrap favors, work registration, make follow-up calls, and work the night of the event. Subcommittees will be formed for each function. Date TBD. 

• Bloom Brunch - Bloom takes place at Windows on the River and is our major fundraising and social event of the year. Help is needed to coordinate the event, solicit raffle prizes, create raffle baskets, and assist with set-up and clean-up. Date TBD.

• Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week - This week-long event is sponsored by Mothers' Club. A committee is needed to coordinate aspects for each day of the week, including a luncheon. Date TBD.

• Baccalaureate Reception - This reception takes place after the Baccalaureate Mass for the graduating seniors and their families. A committee is needed to decorate the gymnasium, make centerpieces, create platters of light refreshments, and clean up. Date TBD.
