ORCHESTRA AT ST. ED'S

The St. Edward Orchestra was established in 2012-2013 school year.  String players and select wind and percussionists will combine forces to perform classical and contemporary music performed at our concerts.

The orchestra meets as a class during the regular school day.  The orchestra rehearses every other day, alternating with a study hall during this class period.  There is an additional rehearsal on Mondays from 6:30 until 7:10 in winter and spring.  Rehearsals for the Pit Orchestra, a volunteer group which performs for our musicals, are after Monday's rehearsals from 7:15 until 9:00pm.  The Pit Orchestra also rehearses Sunday afternoons from 3:00 until 5:00.  Students who are not able to take Orchestra as a class during the school day and wind/percussion players who will attend the after-school rehearsal may audition to be add-ons for these groups.
