THE ST. ED'S COMMUNITY CELEBRATES THE HISTORIC FINISH OF THE COURAGE TO ACT CAMPAIGN
Last Saturday, St. Ed's hosted its annual Celebration of Leadership, honoring the philanthropy and commitment of The Courage to Act Campaign Major Donors, members of the 2018-2019 Holy Cross Society, members of the 2018-2019 Next Edsmen Up and the 2019 Wings Sponsors. Additionally, the event was the perfect platform to announce that the $22 million Courage to Act Campaign shattered expectations by raising $23.7 million!
The Courage to Act Campaign, led by Sean Hennessy '75 along with Paul Clark '71, Mike Carlin '66, John Curran '75, Mike Duffy '82, Dan Geib '76, Nick Gonnella, and Carol Rini would not have been such a historical success if it were not for the generous support from the entire St. Edward Community. "The key to success for The Courage to Act Campaign was the confident leadership of Campaign Chair, Sean Hennessy '75," says Vice President of Institutional Advancement Mr. Paul Mocho '85. "His drive and determination to make this a successful campaign was truly inspiring." To recognize Sean's efforts and support of The Courage to Act Campaign and St. Edward High School, President Jim Kubacki announced that the new dining hall in the Marilyn and David Palisin '64 Commons - coming Fall 2020 - will be named the Sean P. Hennessy '75 Dining Hall. "Surprising him with the naming of the new dining hall was a definite highlight," says Mr. Mocho.
"We are grateful for the generous support of the St. Ed's Community over these past five years. The Annual Fund's Holy Cross Society membership continues to increase and the Wings Auction continues to set records of support, all during the highly successful Courage to Act Campaign. This is an amazing testament to the belief in a St. Edward education and the direction of our school," says Mr. Mocho. Our Edsmen, Faculty and Staff, Board of Trustees and Campaign Cabinet thank you for your collective efforts in having the courage to act.
