ST. ED'S ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HOSTS BOAST THE BROTHERHOOD CHALLENGE

The St. Edward Alumni Association proudly sponsored a livestream broadcast of our Football Eagles taking on Saint Ignatius at FirstEnergy Stadium last Saturday night. The St. Ed's community was able to come together and enjoy the game while cheering on our Eagles from afar. In place of purchasing game day tickets, the Alumni Association challenged Eagle Nation to "Boast the Brotherhood" and support the school with an Annual Fund gift of any amount. Along with a $10,000 match by the Alumni Association, a grand total of over $24,000 was raised for St. Ed's through the "Boast the Brotherhood" challenge and is a great reminder that we are all in this together.

Edsmen from around the world tuned in to watch the Eagles shut out the Wildcats. Over 170 gifts poured in from Portland, Oregon to Washington D.C. and Bozeman, Montana to Dallas, Texas. This was truly a community-wide effort, as Alumni were joined by current and past parents, friends of St. Ed’s, as well as faculty and staff in supporting St. Ed's. “We are so grateful for the support that we have received,” said Paul Mocho ’85 Vice President of Institutional Advancement. “This is going to be a unique year, and we will be working hard to ensure we are hitting our fundraising goals and doing all we can to support our Edsmen.”

Congratulations to Mark Altieri '70, winner of four reserved floor seats at this year's St. Ed's vs. Saint Ignatius basketball game! In addition to being an Alum, Mark is the father of Bryan '99, Matt '05, Mark '07, and

Richard '11.
