THE EDWARDIAN PLAYERS PRESENT "CLUE: ON STAGE" AS FALL PRODUCTION
This fall, the Edwardian Players present "Clue: On Stage," the classic "whodunnit" show based on the cult classic film and popular board game, "Clue." A madcap comedy that will keep audiences guessing until the final twist, "Clue" invites you to join iconic oddballs known as Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard to a very unusual dinner party. "'Clue' is a fast-paced comic farce with non-stop action and bigger-than-life characters," says Director of Theater Robert Burns. "The cast are all characters in real life and they have used their strong personalities and little quirks in their on-stage characters. They are incredibly willing to experiment, take feedback, and grow as actors." With a hardworking cast who bring out the nuances of their individual characters, our stage crew have built an enormous mansion set that spans the entire width and depth of the Edwardian Players' stage, becoming a character itself as walls move, new rooms are revealed, and secrets are concealed until the right moment to give audiences a surprise. "Our crew, with their own individual talents, have brought the whole set to life, from woodworking and painting to coming up with murder weapons and Easter eggs from the board game to incorporate into the set," says Mr. Burns. "It is always gratifying to see our students and adult volunteers work so diligently to bring our shows to life. I'm sure that everyone will walk away laughing and feeling amazed by the talent that came together to create such a work of art." Tickets are still available for purchase online for this weekend's performances.
