Best of the Week 2021-2022: Excellence in College Prep

On Thursday, the graduating Class of 2022 got to commemorate their National College Decision Day with a day-long celebration full of fun activities, good food and the opportunity to represent the colleges and universities of their choosing. Organized by the College Counseling Department and Parents Club President Heather Kaesgen, St. Ed's National College Decision Day Celebration was a memorable experience for seniors as they enter the final couple of weeks as Edsmen.

"The Class of 2022 is the first class to return to a sense of normalcy since the start of the pandemic. They have fully embraced that with their research, college visits, the application process and their decision-making process," says College Counseling Department Director Moira O'Riordan. "Our graduating seniors are matriculating to so many great colleges and universities ranging from the large flagships like The Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati, to three of the five U.S. Service Academies, to fantastic liberal arts colleges like St. Edward's University, Xavier University, John Carroll University, Bellarmine University and the College of Wooster. They applied to some of the top technical institutes as well as many historically Black colleges and universities and will be receiving their collegiate education across the country. It has been a joy to work with them and see their enthusiasm and excitement so clearly evident throughout the year. We celebrate with them and wish them the best as they wrap up their careers at St. Edward High School and begin the next phase of their life journey." Congratulations to all seniors from the Class of 2022 and the hard work they have put forth over the past four years to lead them on their next path toward their futures.
