Best of the Week 2021-2022: Excellence in College Prep

St. Ed's congratulates Charles (Charlie) Movius '22, Samuel (Sam) Richardson '22, and Adam Wilczewski '22 on being recognized among the top academic minds in the nation as St. Ed's Class of 2022 National Merit Scholars. This achievement is a testament to the hard work of these students, their parents and their teachers, and is a proud occasion for the entire St. Edward Community to celebrate. National Merit Commended Scholar Charlie Movius enjoys hiking and skiing during his free time when he's not busy with the St. Ed's Sailing Team and Spanish Honor Society. Having previously attended Rocky River City Schools, Charlie is looking forward to attending Skidmore College, Occidental College, or the University of Puget Sound next fall. National Merit Scholar Semifinalist Sam Richardson has been an active member of Knights of the Tiber, Model UN, the Edsman Newspaper, Science Olympiad, Chemistry Club, and the Student Ambassador program at St. Ed's. Sam previously attended Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School and hopes to attend Northwestern University, Georgetown University, or the University of Notre Dame next fall. St. Ed's second National Merit Commended Scholar Adam Wilczewski shares his musical talents as part of the St. Ed's Marching Eagles and Liturgical Choir while also exploring his STEM passions through Science Olympiad and the Robotics Club. As a Boy Scout and former student at Holy Trinity School, Adam hopes to attend MIT, Carnegie Mellon University, or the University of Notre Dame next fall.
