ST. ED'S HOSTS VIRTUAL GIVING TREE TO BENEFIT LABRE MINISTRY PROGRAM

As we enter into this season of Hope, all are invited to participate in this year's Virtual Giving Tree by purchasing items to help some of those who are in the greatest need of hope in our communities: those experiencing homelessness. The St. Ed's Virtual Giving Tree will benefit those served by our Labre Ministry, a weekly ministry where our faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumni go out all year round to bring food, clothing, emergency supplies, and friendship to those in our communities who are currently living outdoors. If you are able to help support those served by the Labre Ministry, explore the St. Ed's Giving Tree Wish List to purchase items on our list or similar items that will go directly to helping this effort. "What I enjoy most about Labre are the people you meet and the continually humbling experiences that you have each time. These gifts will help to further the special bond and relationship that St. Ed's has with our homeless friends because it will give them a special something and a big surprise that many of them don't expect to get around this time of year," says Lukas Kucera '24. "Many of the people we meet on Labre either don't have any family left or are not in contact with them anymore. The gifts from the Virtual Giving Tree can help to ease some of the sadness about that and really show that they are in fact a part of a family through St. Ed's." Items purchased for St. Ed's Virtual Giving Tree can be shipped to St. Edward High School (13500 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, OH 44107) to the attention of Emily McGee, or hand-delivered at St. Ed's to be placed under the Giving Tree in the Palisin Commons on the Mezzanine Level.
