TRASH TALKERS COMPLETE GRADE SCHOOL TOUR CELEBRATING CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK

In celebration of Catholic Schools Week, St. Ed's Trash Talkers took a tour around local Catholic grade schools to share their talents with elementary and middle school students. This was the first time in the last couple years students were able to continue this annual Trash Talkers tradition, visiting St. Angela Merici, St. Mary of the Falls, St. Joseph-Amherst, St. Anthony of Padua-Lorain, St. Aloysius, St. Leo and St. Christopher. This tradition that started back in 2005 seeks to share the talents of our students and spread the word about all the great things that Edsmen can accomplish at St. Ed's. "In our performance, we emphasize to all students that it's important to thank all those who make their Catholic school education possible, including parents, teachers, staff and anyone else who help provide this educational opportunity to them," says Trash Talkers Moderator John Goers '78. After completing their Catholic Schools Week tour, St. Ed's Trash Talkers prepare for their halftime performance at the upcoming Ed's vs. Ignatius basketball game. "The boys have worked very hard over the past few weeks to prepare for their new season," says Mr. Goers. "Coming off of having no gigs these past two years, they have shown by their commitment how much this group means to them by practicing on their own throughout the pandemic. As our Edsmen and their new Trash Talker instructor Mr. Cochran get their bearings, they have agreed to start writing new, original pieces for the group and I can't wait for the community to hear them."
