Best of the Week 2022-2023: Holy Cross Values

Congratulations to senior Edsmen Colin Ashdown, Zachary Bell, Cameron Grant, and Seamus McGinty who were named the Class of 2023 nominees for St. Edward High School's Man of the Year Award. Since 1956, St. Edward High School has singled out the outstanding student from each graduating class and has presented this young man with the St. Edward Man of the Year Award. The Man of the Year is the student that best represents all four pillars of the St. Edward High School Holy Cross Mission. As you contemplate who you will vote for, consider which student you believe best lives out Faith, Excellence, Relationships, and Servant Leadership in the classroom, in co-curricular activities, and outside of school in the greater community.

Colin Ashdown '23, who serves as the Senior Class President and has been part of Student Council since his freshman year, is a Student Minister, Student Ambassador, and has been a student athlete for St. Ed's Baseball team for the last four years. As an IB Diploma candidate, Cameron is the recipient of the Princeton Book Award, was a member of the St. Ed's Investment Club and has participated in the Eagles on Foot 5k Race. Cameron will be playing for the Stanford Cardinal Men's Basketball Team this fall.

As the Senior Class Treasurer and President of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Seamus McGinty '23 also serves as an elected member of the IB 2023 Cohort Student Council and was the Treasurer for the 2022 St. Andre Scholars Shop Fundraiser.
