School & Community Founded in 1949, St. Edward High School is sponsored by the Midwest Province of the Brothers of Holy Cross, Notre Dame, Indiana. The St. Edward student body is comprised of young men from throughout Northeast Ohio - a majority from Catholic elementary schools, with others from the area’s public and private junior high and middle schools.
Accreditation St. Edward is chartered as a First-Grade High School by the Ohio Department of Education. It is accredited as a College Preparatory School by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and is also accredited by the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association. St. Edward is recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education.
Faculty The St. Edward High School faculty consists of Brothers of Holy Cross and dedicated lay teachers. St. Edward teachers go above-and-beyond the professional standards set by the Ohio Department of Education and the North Central Association. More than 85 percent of St. Edward faculty members hold graduate degrees.
Alumni The St. Edward High School Alumni Association provides a liaison between alumni and the school. The Alumni Association’s mission is to bring knowledge of the school and its various activities to fellow alumni; reflect the sentiment of alumni on matters affecting the school; and to provide moral, spiritual, and financial support to foster the continued growth of St. Edward High School. There are more than 15,000 St. Edward alumni in the United States and around the world.
