The vibrancy of St. Edward’s inclusive community is rooted in the diversity of our student body. Our Admission Committee considers each individual candidate on a variety of merits and characteristics.

Class of 2029 families will be notified of acceptance decisions on February 6, 2025.

HOW TO APPLY

The application process differs for students currently attending Catholic schools versus those attending public or non-Catholic private schools.

Applicants from Catholic Grade Schools

Students currently enrolled at a Catholic grade school within the Diocese of Cleveland will receive a high school application directly from the Diocese in early January. This application asks students to indicate their first-choice high school. The Diocese only forwards applications to that institution for consideration.

The high school application is separate from the applications for endowed scholarships or need-based financial aid. Click here to learn more.

Applicants from Public Schools and Non-Diocesan Private Schools

Prospective students who do not attend a Catholic grade school can apply to St. Edward through our secure online portal. The application process is straightforward:

1. A parent or guardian must first create an account.

2. Together with an adult, the student can begin the online application. Progress is automatically saved, so you can return and complete it at your convenience.

3. Within 24 hours of account creation, the admissions team will assign a personalized checklist to your account. This checklist will help you request the necessary supporting documents:

  • Grade 8 Teacher Recommendations: Feedback from two teachers is required. Simply enter their email addresses, and they will receive a link to complete the online form.
  • Transcripts from Grades 7 & 8: The checklist allows you to send a digital request to your school, asking them to upload your transcripts. A printable PDF request is also available in the checklist.

Applicants can return to the portal at any time to track the status of teacher recommendation forms and transcripts.
