How to Assign Your Ohio Tax Dollars to Support St. Edward Students:

1. Determine Your Tax Liability

To estimate how much you’ll owe the state in taxes for 2024, review line 8C on the 1040 form you filed for 2023.

2. Make Your Contribution

It ultimately costs you nothing! St. Edward’s Scholarship Granting Organization is called the Eagle Ohio Tax Credit Fund.

3. Claim Your Ohio Tax Credit

If your 2024 state taxes are equal to or greater than your contribution to the Eagle Ohio Fund, you will receive a dollar-for-dollar refund up to $750! For married couples filing jointly, the maximum refund increases to $1,500.

With scholarship granting organizations (SGO), you have a voice in the distribution of the tax dollars you already pay. As a state-certified SGO, contributions to Eagle Ohio Tax Credit Fund directly benefit St. Edward High School students. You can contribute up to $750 per individual and receive a refund this spring for the same amount! — Bill Leonard '68 CPA, CFP
