Immersive Travel

Edsmen embark on transformative journeys around the globe, immersing themselves in cultures, languages, and communities.

In alignment with our identity as a Holy Cross institution and an IB World School, we are committed to developing compassionate and informed global citizens, as reflected in our diverse international travel opportunities. These experiences are thoughtfully curated to ensure every student has the chance to broaden their horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world.

More than sightseeing trips, our immersive travel program fosters global awareness and personal growth.

Our on-staff director of international programs meticulously plans, coordinates, and manages these programs, offering choices that cater to all St. Edward families' interests, schedules, and budgets. The underlying principles include fostering global understanding and international awareness, which are central to the mission of St. Edward High School, the Congregation of Holy Cross, and the International Baccalaureate.

Trips are organized into five main categories:

  • International Model United Nations Conferences: Open to members of our vibrant Model UN club, these conferences provide Edsmen with a platform to engage in global issues, hone public speaking and negotiation skills, and collaborate with peers worldwide.
  • Cultural Tours: These tours are designed to immerse students in the rich heritage of different countries and offer comprehensive explorations of global cultures, from historic landmarks to modern cities. Many trips are open to both St. Edward students and their family members.
  • Mission and Service Trips: Reflecting the values of the Congregation of Holy Cross, these trips focus on serving communities in need. Students participate in meaningful service projects, fostering a sense of empathy and social responsibility.
  • Student Exchanges: Our exchange programs allow students to experience life in another country firsthand by living with a host family and attending a local school. These exchanges promote cultural understanding and personal growth.
  • Subject-Specific Trips: These opportunities enhance students' skills and knowledge in particular areas of their education, such as language learning and more.

These trips are optional but highly encouraged as they are crucial in developing well-rounded, globally aware individuals.
