Edsmen embark on transformative journeys around the globe, immersing themselves in cultures, languages, and communities.
In alignment with our identity as a Holy Cross institution and an IB World School, we are committed to developing compassionate and informed global citizens, as reflected in our diverse international travel opportunities. These experiences are thoughtfully curated to ensure every student has the chance to broaden their horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world.
More than sightseeing trips, our immersive travel program fosters global awareness and personal growth.
Our on-staff director of international programs meticulously plans, coordinates, and manages these programs, offering choices that cater to all St. Edward families' interests, schedules, and budgets. The underlying principles include fostering global understanding and international awareness, which are central to the mission of St. Edward High School, the Congregation of Holy Cross, and the International Baccalaureate.
Trips are organized into five main categories:
Destinations
Our students have the opportunity to visit an ever-growing list of countries, including:
In addition to our international programs, we also offer domestic trips that provide valuable experiences within the United States. For example, our choir travels to Nashville, and students participate in building homes in rural areas for Habitat for Humanity.
Our travel programs are an extension of our commitments, offering every St. Edward student the chance to see the world, embrace new perspectives, and grow into empathetic leaders who can positively impact their communities and beyond. These trips are optional but highly encouraged as they are crucial in developing well-rounded, globally aware individuals.
