Custodian (part-time evenings)

Position Description: Performs a variety of cleaning duties to keep classrooms, offices, cafeteria, athletic areas, hallways, and staircases clean.

Responsibilities:

• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors and stairs
• Replenishing stock in restrooms and cleaning all of the school’s bathrooms
• Gathering and emptying trash
• Monitoring building safety and security
• Dusting all hard surfaces
• Cleaning glass doors
• Moving heavy furniture when vacuuming to reach corners and crevices of covered parts of the room
• Cleaning gyms and locker rooms
• Setting up and taking down chairs/tables for school events

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Reading English along with verbal comprehension
• Manual dexterity and proper lifting methods
• Proven to be trustworthy, honest and respectful of students and adults
• Possess the willingness and ability to support the Mission of St. Edward High School
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check through the FBI & BCI
• Available to work weekends when needed to assist with the school’s events
