Social Media Content Creator & Graphic Designer
Position Description
The graphic designer and content creator is a creative and versatile member of the Marketing & Communications team. Serving as the school's Content & Media Specialist, this individual will help tell the story of St. Edward High School through engaging social media content while providing graphic design support for a wide range of marketing and communications initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who enjoys capturing authentic moments, creating compelling digital content, and producing high-quality print and digital materials that support enrollment, advancement, athletics, and community engagement.

Job Responsibilities
Social Media
- Plan, create, schedule, and publish daily content across all social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
- Monitor engagement metrics and analytics to optimize content performance, audience reach, and growth.
- Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to ensure the school's voice remains relevant and engaging.
- Collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and alumni to generate authentic and timely content.
Graphic Design
- Design and produce original creative assets for print and digital marketing materials, signage, spirit store merchandise, event promotions, and other communications projects.
- Resize, update, and adapt existing designs for a variety of platforms and applications while maintaining brand consistency.
Creative Asset Management
- Photograph school events, student activities, athletics, and campus life to capture and share the St. Edward story.
- Organize, maintain, and archive digital photo and video content for future use.
Collaboration & Support
- Support admissions, advancement, fundraising, and community engagement initiatives through strategic content creation and visual storytelling.
- Assist in maintaining and strengthening the school's visual identity across all communications platforms.
- Contribute creative ideas and recommendations during marketing strategy and planning discussions.
- Attend school events and functions as needed; occasional evening and weekend hours are required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, photography, and/or content creation experience.
- One to three years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or creative production; school or nonprofit experience is preferred.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, Canva, Sprout Social, Adobe Creative Suite, and photo and video editing software.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
