Youth Engagement & Community Outreach Manager
Position Description: The Youth Engagement & Community Outreach Manager is responsible for increasing awareness of St. Edward High School among prospective students and families in grades K–8 through broad-based community engagement, school-sponsored events, and mission-centered programming. The position reports to the VP of Enrollment & Strategy and collaborates with the school’s Admissions Team, Athletic Department, Co-Curricular Moderators, and Marketing & Communication team members.
Mission: St. Edward High School educates the hearts and minds of a diverse group of young men to have the competence to see and the courage to act as men of hope and faith for the transformation of the world.
Goals: St. Edward High School, an International Baccalaureate World School, encourages students to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners with international awareness.
Community Engagement & Outreach:
- Working in conjunction with our school’s mission, develop and implement a comprehensive outreach strategy to increase awareness of St. Edward High School among families, grade schools, and community organizations.
- Build relationships with local schools, CYO programs, youth organizations, and community groups in a manner that promotes St. Edward High School
- Serve as a liaison between St. Edward High School and the broader community to strengthen school visibility and accessibility
Youth Programming & Events:
- Coordinate and support the Admissions Team and promote school-sponsored youth events such as:
- Open houses and school visit days
- Youth nights at school events
- Educational, service, and general-interest camps or programs
Support for School Programs:
- Assist school staff (including athletics and co-curricular programs) in promoting school-sponsored events to the broader community
- Coordinate logistics and communication for events that are open to all students and families
- Ensure all staff participation in youth events follows OHSAA guidelines
Family Engagement & Admissions Support:
- Serve as a point of contact for families seeking general information about St. Edward High School
- Provide information about:
- Academic programs
- Student life and extracurricular opportunities
- Admissions process
- Refer interested families to the Admissions Office for formal follow-up
- Ensure all communication emphasizes the holistic student experience, including all areas of student life
Event Presence & Representation:
- Represent St. Edward High School at community events, youth activities, and school-sponsored programs to promote general awareness. This requires working outside of regular business hours.
- Maintain a visible and consistent presence in the community
Data Tracking & Reporting:
- Track overall engagement metrics such as:
- Event attendance
- Community partnerships
- General inquiries from families
- Maintain records of outreach activities in a manner that:
- Does not identify or track students based on athletic ability
- Does not create or maintain lists of prospective student-athletes
- Provide regular reports to school leadership on outreach effectiveness
Success Metrics:
- Increased participation in school-sponsored community events
- Growth in general family engagement and inquiries
- Stronger relationships with local schools and organizations
- Increased awareness of St. Edward High School in the community
- Positive alignment with Admissions’ goals and compliance standards
