Mr. Shahid began at St. Edward in 2022. What drew him to St. Edward was the warm reception he received from the staff, particularly their appreciation for his "Gerbil Story"—if you don't know the story, feel free to email him for the details. He loves his job because it allows him to ensure that the Edsmen are truly seen, heard, and loved. He values the opportunity to walk into work and not only show the love of Christ but also boldly proclaim His name. Outside of school, Mr. Shahid enjoys writing for theatre and film and mentoring young men and teens as they grow in Christ. He is proud of being awarded Who's Who In Black Cleveland for two consecutive years. Something others may not know about him is that he collects real wrestling championship belts and is an ordained minister. His favorite time of the school day is the Community Period because it allows everyone to be their authentic selves.
