Hon. Judge John J. Russo, a distinguished alumnus from the class of 1983, was drawn back to St. Edward to continue making an impact on the young men who now walk the same halls he once did. He loves his job because of the fantastic management team and staff at St. Edward. Outside of his role at the school, Judge Russo can be found on the bench in his courtroom at the Justice Center in downtown Cleveland. He is proud of being married for over 30 years and raising three wonderful children. People might not know that Judge Russo comes from a family of nine, being the seventh child among six sisters and two brothers, and the first to pursue higher education in his family. His favorite part of the day is coming in the morning and stopping at the chapel to pray before starting his day.
