For KC McKenna, the best part of St. Edward is simple: the people. He believes schools are communities of people, not campuses of buildings, and considers it a privilege to work alongside dedicated educators and parents while playing a role in the lives of young men.

One of KC’s favorite parts of the day happens before classes even begin. He can often be found in the Palisin Commons greeting students and colleagues as they arrive, helping create the joy-filled start to the school day that has become a St. Edward tradition. For KC, those few minutes spent talking, laughing, and connecting with students aren’t just energizing—they’re an important part of building community.

For KC, that connection to St. Edward is personal, too. He and his wife, Kara, are the parents of two current Edsmen, Henry ’28 and Roger ’30, and spend plenty of time on the sidelines cheering them on.

When he isn’t on campus, KC loves to travel and golf.
