Maria Mueller

About

Mrs. Mueller joined St. Edward High School in 2021 and brings both professional expertise and a deep personal connection to the community, as her sons Josh ’11, Corey ’14, and Dylan ’16 are graduates of the school. She is passionate about her work as a college counselor because she gets to walk alongside students during one of the most exciting—and sometimes overwhelming—chapters of their lives, helping them discover the path that best fits their goals and aspirations. She especially enjoys personalizing the college planning process and finds great joy in the moments when students stop by her office for guidance, laughter, or reassurance.

Mrs. Mueller holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Miami University and a College Counseling Certification from UCLA. She is a Certified Public Accountant and previously worked as both a CPA and a personal trainer before transitioning into education. She is proud of raising three happy, healthy, and accomplished sons as a single mom, completing four marathons, and visiting all 50 states and five continents—with plans to check off the final two soon.

Outside of work, Mrs. Mueller enjoys staying active through running, hiking, biking, and time at the gym, as well as reading, traveling, and listening to music—especially live performances. She credits her students’ positive outlooks, humor, and enthusiasm as a daily source of inspiration and one of the reasons she loves her role at St. Edward.
