Mr. Urban has been a faculty member in the English Department at St. Edward High School since 2004. With a family connection through his brother Christopher Urban '90 and brother-in-law Josh DiMauro '07, as well as a future legacy with his son Luke Urban '26, Mark considers it an exceptional honor to work at St. Edward despite having only one year of teaching experience prior to being hired. He values the mission-centric environment of the school, which keeps him young, challenges him, and enriches his life. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time at a bookstore, on the basketball court, reading, going to concerts, and riding his motorcycle. He also earned his Master’s Degree in English Literature with the support of the SEHS Jack Kahl Fund for teacher professional development and has a background in grocery retail prior to becoming an educator. Arriving at school each day with his son and the prospect of another meaningful day at St. Edward are among his greatest joys.
