Matt Altieri '05

About

Matt Altieri began his tenure at St. Edward High School in 2019, after graduating in 2005. He comes from a family with deep roots at St. Edward, including his father, Mark Altieri ’70, brothers Bryan Altieri ’99, Mark Altieri Jr. ’07, and Rich Altieri ’11, and his brother-in-law Mark Campbell ’97. Altieri holds a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and a Master’s from Kent State University. Before joining St. Edward, he worked as an Intervention Specialist and Transition Coordinator in the Ravenna City School District and spent ten years supporting young adults with disabilities.

Altieri is passionate about helping boys grow into successful men. He meets students during the admissions process and enjoys watching them develop over their four years at St. Edward. He is proud of expanding support for students with learning differences, including additional staff, more students with IEPs, and enhanced programming. Altieri values working in a community that exemplifies hospitality, sincerity, and hard work and takes pride in sending graduating classes into the world ready to make a positive impact.

Outside of work, Altieri cherishes time with his wife, Laura, their three sons, Angelo, Vincent, and Michael, and his extended family. His favorite part of the day is morning enrichment in the Student Success Center, where he sees students and staff engaging with focus, dedication, and growth.
