Peter Knittel began teaching at St. Edward High School in 2021, where he teaches Latin and Philosophy and serves as moderator of the Knights of the Tiber Latin Club. He loves the opportunity to read and discuss ancient poetry and literature with students, helping them develop skills in logic, language, and creative thinking that extend far beyond the classroom. He takes pride in seeing students excel—two of his former students earned full-ride scholarships to separate universities for their achievements in Latin.
Mr. Knittel values being part of a community of skilled and creative students, dynamic faculty, and a welcoming, vibrant school culture that has shaped him into the educator he is today.
Outside of teaching, he enjoys playing board games and Dungeons & Dragons with friends, traveling, and having spirited discussions on a variety of topics.
