Renee Brickman's path to the Theology classroom began with her own faith.
“I was inspired to become a Theology Teacher in my own personal journey of faith and wanted to accompany others in their faith journey.”
Brickman brings a wide range of experience to St. Edward, having taught at Holy Name High School and St. Joseph Academy and served at the West Side Catholic Center. She holds degrees from the University of Akron, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Loyola Marymount University.
Her commitment to serving others extends well beyond the classroom. Brickman is the founder of Step Into Housing, a nonprofit that raises funds to purchase homes for unhoused veterans in Cleveland. In 2024, the organization purchased its first home, which now provides a place to live for a veteran and his caretaker.
When summer arrives, Brickman likes to stay on the move. She golfs nearly every day and makes a point of traveling somewhere new each year.
And while Brickman may be new to St. Edward, the school is hardly new to her family. She is the sister of three Edsmen: Richard Brickman Jr. ’87, Robert Brickman ’89, and Ron Brickman ’92.
Now, she’s excited to begin a St. Edward chapter of her own.
