Mr. Rich Rupanovic '89 has been a member of the St. Edward High School community since 2017 and serves as Department Chair of Engineering and Computer Science, teaching engineering courses within the Math, Engineering, and Technology Departments. A proud alumnus from the Class of 1989, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Astronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, a Master of Science in Astronautical Engineering from West Coast University, and a Master of Science in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University.
Mr. Rupanovic is passionate about teaching and finds great fulfillment in helping students master complex concepts and develop strong problem-solving skills, both in the classroom and on the wrestling mat. He wrestled at St. Edward and the U.S. Air Force Academy and currently serves as an assistant wrestling coach for the Eagles. Prior to his work in education, he completed 24 years of active-duty service as an Air Force officer, working as an engineer and program manager on satellite and rocket programs.
Outside of school, he enjoys attending baseball games and has seen 25 of the 30 MLB teams play a home game, as well as spending time with his wife and children.
