Vanessa Butler joined St. Edward in 2023. One of her favorite parts of the day is the morning commute with her son, Vaughn ’28—a little extra time together before they head in different directions for the school day.
As both a staff member and a St. Edward parent, Vanessa has a unique view of the school community. She loves watching young men arrive from different schools, neighborhoods, and backgrounds and, over time, become part of a genuine brotherhood.
Away from St. Edward, Vanessa loves hunting for a great thrift-store find, listening to podcasts, traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and three children.
A Rocky River resident, she lives just steps from Lake Erie and is happiest whenever she’s near the water.
