Will Fistek joined St. Edward High School in 2020 and teaches Film and Photography. He loves that his students choose to be in his classes, which allows him to work with highly engaged young artists and watch them create new and interesting pieces of work. Will enjoys the social aspects of teaching and coaching, finding fulfillment in helping students explore their passions and develop their skills.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Fistek serves as Head Coach of the rowing team, which has grown from 17 to 59 athletes under his leadership. His teams have competed at nationals each year, including a historic varsity 8+ at the Head of the Charles in Boston, and he is a national champion in two events at the Dad Vail Rowing Championship Regatta. He is proud of the Men’s Jr. 4+ team placing third at the Midwest Championship Regatta and fifth at SRAA Nationals.
Outside of work and coaching, Will enjoys running, biking, rowing, and spending quiet time on personal projects around his house.
