Zachary Mertens '10

About

Mr. Mertens began teaching at his alma mater in 2014. He was drawn back to St. Edward because of the incredible experience he had as a student and wanted to be part of the community that made it possible. With a legacy of family connections—his father Donald and brother Adam are also alumni—he takes pride in continuing this tradition. Every day brings a new moment of joy, a challenge to overcome, or a chance to make someone's day better. His favorite part of the day is the Community Period, which provides a daily opportunity to build connections outside the classroom.
