ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS

Endowed scholarships—made possible by generous supporters—help ensure that cost is never a barrier to receiving a St. Edward education. Recipients are expected to set an example of integrity, responsibility, and school spirit. These scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need.
  • Commitment to serving others through school, parish, or community involvement.
  • Strong record of achievement marked by curiosity, drive, and dedication to excellence in all areas of study.
  • Leadership potential shown through initiative and the ability to inspire others in athletics, clubs, student government, or service projects.

HOLY CROSS SCHOLARSHIPS

Holy Cross Scholarships recognize applicants who embody the four pillars of a St. Edward education: faith, excellence, relationships, and servant leadership. Applicants are asked to reflect on how they plan to live out these values and use them to strengthen and uplift the St. Edward community.

  • Faith: Candidates demonstrate a deep and active faith life, a commitment to growing spiritually, and a desire to live with purpose and integrity.
  • Excellence: Candidates pursue academic excellence with curiosity and determination, striving to use their talents to the fullest.
  • Relationships: Candidates understand the power of relationships, valuing authentic connections, building community, and embracing the brotherhood that defines the St. Edward experience.
  • Servant Leadership: Candidates lead by example—humbly, selflessly, and with a focus on serving others before themselves.

ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIPS

The Alumni Scholarship celebrates the tradition of brotherhood shared by generations of Edsmen. Funded by alumni, they support applicants whose father, stepfather, grandfather, or step-grandfather (living or deceased) is a St. Edward graduate. Strong candidates demonstrate:

  • A genuine love for St. Edward and active contribution to a positive, spirited community.
  • A strong commitment to serving their school, parish, or broader community, with an understanding of the importance of giving back.
  • Dedication to learning, personal growth, and a willingness to take on challenges both in and outside the classroom.
  • Emerging leadership qualities, showing initiative and inspiring peers through participation in sports, clubs, student government, or other activities.
