Liturgy & Prayer Life

Joining together in prayer and worship is a central part of the spiritual life at St. Edward High School.

At St. Edward, we believe liturgy and prayer life are central to building a vibrant and cohesive community.

Through monthly all-school Masses, student-led prayers, and diverse spiritual experiences, we foster a deep sense of unity and belonging. These practices bring students, staff, and families together, strengthening our bonds and reinforcing our shared values and faith.

Monthly All-School Mass

Our community celebrates a traditional Catholic Mass roughly once a month during the school year, with priests from various parishes and offices invited to lead and share time with us.

Students play an active role in these liturgies, serving as lectors, altar servers, gift bearers, greeters, and sacristans. Student musicians and the school choir provide music, enhancing the worship experience. A group of seniors serve as Eucharistic Ministers for these liturgies.

Daily Prayer Time

Each morning and afternoon, students prepare and deliver a prayer over the school-wide speaker system. Along with daily announcements, the prayers are based on the day's readings and features a short reflection on the Gospel. Additionally, teachers offer a brief prayer at the start of classes.
