The Retail Operations Manager defines and executes the visual and creative direction of the Green & Gold Shop—designing original merchandise, curating collections, and shaping a cohesive in-store experience. This role leads a $600,000+ annual retail operation, where strong design instincts and smart merchandising directly drive performance. With oversight of Eagle Concessions, the position also manages vendor relationships, staffing, and operations to ensure every retail touchpoint reflects the energy and excellence of the St. Edward brand.
The Retail Ops Manager supports the school’s mission of forming young men in the Holy Cross tradition by creating a

Responsibilities:
Curate & Manage Inventory: Select and maintain a fashion-forward assortment of apparel and gifts. Track sales data and
market trends to inform buying decisions, ensuring a consistent, high-quality product offering aligned with the St. Edward
brand. This position is also responsible for the inventory management of Eagle concessions.
Vendor & Supplier Relations: Build strong relationships with current vendors and collaborate with local artisans and new
suppliers to develop exclusive merchandise. Utilize graphic design software to develop St. Edward-branded artwork in
alignment with the school’s identity guidelines.
Internal School Orders: Serve as the primary point of contact for staff members ordering branded merchandise for their
departments or events. Coordinate product needs, timelines, and branding guidelines to ensure consistency across initiatives.
Store Operations & Team Management: Oversee all aspects of daily store and concession operations, including
scheduling, budgeting, inventory control, and financial reporting. Hire, train, and supervise part-time staff, student workers,
and volunteers—ensuring they deliver excellent service and are proficient in store systems and product knowledge.
Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional in-store and online service to students, families, alumni, and visitors.
E-Commerce Oversight: Maintain the online store (Shopify), ensuring accurate listings, high-quality product photography,
real-time inventory updates, and smooth online transactions.
Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to develop creative campaigns,
promotions, and seasonal displays that drive traffic and sales. Submit promotional graphics and product features for social
media and the school website. Identify opportunities for pop-up shops at athletic games, admissions events, and school-wide
gatherings.
Visual Merchandising: Design engaging, themed product displays and retail layouts that enhance the in-store experience
and reflect the school’s identity.
