2023–2024 School Theme: “With Them and of Them”

“Christ was anointed to bring good news to the poor, release for prisoners, sight for the blind, restoration for every broken victim. Our efforts, which are His, reach out to the afflicted and in a preferential way to the poor and the oppressed. We come not just as servants but as their neighbors, to be WITH THEM AND OF THEM.”

As we embark on the 2023-2024 school year, our theme, "WITH THEM AND OF THEM," reflects the foundational principles of Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C., who founded the Congregation of Holy Cross with a profound love for the most vulnerable. Moreau's vision was rooted in a missionary commitment to stand alongside the poor and those marginalized by society, exemplifying respect and compassion for all.

In the Gospels, Jesus enters into the lives of those who are suffering, providing solace, healing, and hope. His example teaches us that God's immense love is intended to envelop everyone, particularly those who are downtrodden or left out.

Central to St. Edward’s Holy Cross Mission is the call to servant leadership—a commitment to stand in solidarity with today’s marginalized communities. We are invited not just to serve, but to unite with those we serve, building relationships of love and compassion in the spirit of Jesus and Blessed Moreau. Through this unity, we aim to advance the reign of God on earth.

This school year, we encourage the St. Ed’s community to engage in outreach ministries in ways that resonate with your personal spiritual journey. Our mission is rooted in the Lord’s work, and we approach it with renewed zeal, joy, and faith, guided by the same love that inspires us all.
