In his remarkable tenure leading St. Edward's wrestling program, Coach Greg Urbas has achieved unprecedented success.

Under his guidance, the program has amassed 11 national championships, 44 state championships, 43 district championships, and 49 sectional championships. His coaching brilliance has fostered a legacy of excellence, including an awe-inspiring streak of NCAA All-American wrestlers spanning more than three decades.

Last Friday, we gathered to officially dedicate the Greg Urbas Wrestling Room, a fitting tribute to the force behind this unparalleled record. However, Coach Urbas' impact extends far beyond the mat.

Urbas exemplifies servant leadership. As a career educator, his selfless dedication has deeply touched the hearts and minds of generations of Edsmen. Whether driving students to school, patiently explaining challenging math problems, coaching football, or offering words of encouragement in the hallway, his influence is woven into the very fabric of St. Edward High School.

We celebrate a role model whose contributions to wrestling are rivaled only by the immeasurable imprint he has left on the Eagle community.
