Throughout the day, the Rini Servery is open for students to grab a snack on the go.
Office of Admission
The Office of Admission is the first stop for families considering St. Edward High School. This brightly-colored, inviting space welcomes more than 500 eighth-grade visitors per year through the Edsman for a Day shadow program. The room features comfortable seating and a team of friendly admission representatives to assist families throughout the enrollment process.

The departments of Campus Ministry, College Counseling, International Programs, Service Learning, and more can be found here.
St. Joseph Courtyard
The St. Joseph Courtyard is where students, faculty, and staff can pause and reflect at the statue of St. Joseph, the patron saint of the Brothers of Holy Cross. St. Andre Bessette, C.S.C., known as the “Miracle Man of Montreal,” had prayed to St. Joseph and encouraged others to “go to Joseph” with their needs. Today, the St. Edward community can conveniently “go to Joseph” in this beautiful courtyard outside the Kahl Center.
Man of the Year Hallway
Since 1956, one senior from each graduating class has been named the St. Edward Man of the Year. This individual—nominated by his classmates and selected by the faculty and staff—best represents the four pillars of a St. Edward education: faith, excellence, relationships, and servant leadership. Each Man of the Year is remembered with a graduation photo in this hallway.
Alumni Display Case
Take a step back in time through the alumni display case! Located in the main hallway, the display contains pictures and mementos from graduation classes currently celebrating a milestone reunion year. St. Edward hosts a variety of on-campus events to reunite former classmates, and the display case celebrates the everlasting bonds created in our halls.
Holy Family Chapel
Students of all faiths are welcome in The Holy Family Chapel, a sacred location for retreats, theology lessons, prayer services, small Masses, and quiet reflection. Located where the Brothers’ House once stood, the chapel is a beautiful testament to St. Edward’s Holy Cross heritage. The golden dome represents the dome of the University of Notre Dame—a Holy Cross school—and the gorgeous stained glass depicts significant figures from Holy Cross history. Additionally, the wooden cross and altar were handcrafted using lumber that came from trees planted on campus by the founding Brothers.
The Joseph & Helen Lowe Institute for Innovation
Students learn to collaborate and think beyond the horizon thanks to the unique learning centers in the Lowe Institute for Innovation. The Ken Layden ’80 Center for Entrepreneurial Solutions contains a variety of collaborative workspaces, including several innovative classrooms and meeting rooms.
In the H.C.S. Foundation Center for Engineering, students benefit from manufacturing and fabrication labs loaded with tools and resources for students to prototype and test their ideas. The Keehan Family Center for Advanced Sciences includes state-of-the-art science labs, and student filmmakers and photographers can utilize two classrooms dedicated solely to these subjects.

Br. Bennet Nettleton, C.S.C. History Classroom
The Br. Bennet Nettleton, C.S.C. History Classroom is where history comes to life! During his 48-year career at St. Edward, Br. Bennet amassed an extensive collection of historical artifacts that inspired students to experience the past through hands-on learning. Today, students continue to benefit from Br. Bennet’s collection.
Pottery Studio
The Pottery Studio is a hands-on learning space for artists who take courses in pottery or sculpture. From the beginning classes through advanced levels, students are taught the mental and physical skills to harness their creativity and produce aesthetically pleasing work.
Main Gymnasium
St. Edward students relish this space for its momentous sporting events, inspiring rallies, and unifying all-school Masses. Additionally, the Main Gym hosts the annual Wings Auction, which has raised over $1 million each of the past three years. Recently, the facility underwent significant remodeling to include a newly designed floor, two video scoreboards, improved lighting and sound, and state championship banners.
The Main Gym still retains some of its original flavor, however, with its traditional, wooden bleachers and its classic, balcony benches. Just outside the Main Gym, The Jack Kelly ’54 Gymnasium Lobby is a highly trafficked intersection that welcomes spectators to this historic and storied venue.
Student Activity Center
The Student Activity Center is a multipurpose facility that includes an auxiliary gym, weight room, baseball lab, and Hall of Fame Hallway. Many teams practice in the auxiliary gym, where banners showcase each of the sports offered. The modernized weight room provides the best training equipment for student-athletes to maximize their potential while also limiting injury.
Upstairs, the Baseball Lab contains two full-size batting cages and cutting-edge technology to track players’ techniques. Lastly, the Hall of Fame Hallway showcases many trophies, and it lists members of the Howard E. Ferguson Athletic Hall of Fame.
Wrestling Room
The birthplace of St. Edward state championships, the Wrestling Room still contains its wooden track, old basketball hoops, inspirational quotes, and framed tournament brackets. For decades, this space has symbolized the tradition, toughness, and skill of St. Edward wrestling and the entire athletics program.
Since 1978, the wrestling program has won 46 team and dual state championships, 11 national championships, and 123 individual state championships—all under the direction of legendary head coaches Howard Ferguson, Greg Urbas, and John Heffernan ’84. Most importantly, the Wrestling Room provides a home away from home for young men who strive for their full potential on the mat and in life.

Br. James Everett, C.S.C. Stadium is the cherished home for many St. Edward sports teams, including football, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, and track.
