“A warm, Holy Cross welcome to you!”
- Br. James Everett, C.S.C.

Fulfilling its educational mission through four main pillars–faith, excellence, relationships, and servant leadership–St. Edward High School is a place where learning transcends borders; classmates become brothers; and young men are not just another face in the crowd—but known and cherished members of a vibrant community!

St. Edward is a Catholic, all-boys, International Baccalaureate World School for grades 9 through 12. Located in Lakewood, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, the school is well-known for its innovative academics, robust athletic achievements, and Holy Cross hospitality. St. Edward attracts a diverse student body from all over the region.

Founded by the Brothers of Holy Cross in 1949, St. Edward started with 105 freshmen and today enrolls approximately 900 students. The campus features modern amenities, including: athletic facilities, a chapel, collaborative learning spaces, technology hubs, a cafeteria, a tutoring lab, an innovation wing with a makerspace, and an urban farm for charitable food production.

In addition to being a college preparatory school that is fully accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS), St. Edward is also an IB World School and is home to one of the nation’s most successful IB programs. The IB approach blends perfectly with St. Edward’s Holy Cross mission to develop well-rounded, compassionate servant leaders.

St. Edward offers a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, including clubs focused on academics, leadership, performing arts, recreation, affinity groups, and spirituality. Additionally, students can participate in a comprehensive service learning program and over 40 athletic teams across 17 different sports. The Eagles’ athletic record is second-to-none—drawing large crowds of fans and inspiring more than 70% of the student body to participate.

With over 19,000 alumni and counting, the sense of community among students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and friends has continued to be a defining characteristic of the St. Edward experience and an enduring legacy throughout the greater community.
