While the steps below may be completed in any order, eighth-graders who complete all five steps receive priority consideration during the application review process.
Edsman for a Day
Eighth-grade boys are invited to find out what it’s really like to be an Edsman by spending a full day on campus. Visits are offered throughout the fall and early winter.
Open House
Eighth-grade boys and their families are invited to explore campus, meet the people who make the school special, and discover what it means to be part of the St. Edward brotherhood. Open Houses are offered on October 11 & 12, 2026.
Admission Testing
All eighth-grade applicants are required to take the High School Placement Test at St. Edward. Results help determine course placement, and high-scoring students are eligible for Merit Scholarships.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
St. Edward awards a wide range of scholarships based on academic achievement, leadership, character, and demonstrated financial need. Class of 2031 applicants must submit scholarship and financial aid applications by November 13, 2026.
Admission Application
Prospective students must submit an application that includes biographical information, short essay responses, seventh- and eighth-grade transcripts, and two teacher recommendation forms. Applications for the Class of 2031 are due by January 25, 2027.
