Admission Testing

The High School Placement Test is offered throughout the fall for eighth-grade boys.

All eighth-grade applicants are required to take the High School Placement Test as part of the admission process.

Results are used for course placement and merit scholarship consideration. Students who score in the top 10 percent of applicants automatically qualify for a St. Edward Merit Scholarship, as outlined below.

There is no cost to take the High School Placement Test, and students are welcome to take it more than once. While students complete the exam, parents are invited to an informative presentation led by the school's leadership team, who will share what makes a St. Edward education distinctive—from its Holy Cross mission and International Baccalaureate curriculum to its innovative approach to learning.
