The Center for Urban Agriculture at St. Edward High School invites the entire community to Gear Up to Garden, a complimentary speaker series. In partnership with local experts, these engaging sessions offer practical tips and inspiration for gardeners of every experience level.

Join us for one or all three! Sessions are free, but registration is required.

Rain Barrel Workshop

Rain barrels are a simple, eco-friendly way to conserve water. By capturing rainwater runoff, they provide a free, sustainable source of water for gardens and landscaping. Join us to build your own rain barrel and take it home!

Gardening with Native Plants

Native plants support local ecosystems by providing food and habitat for birds, pollinators, and other wildlife. Adapted to local climate and soil conditions, they are easy to grow and help improve soil health. Take home a native plant or seeds to add beauty and biodiversity to your garden.

Seed Starting

Thursday, March 26 at 5 p.m.

Learn the tips, tools, and techniques for starting plants from seed. Beginning seeds indoors allows for an earlier harvest, access to a wider variety of plants, and a cost-effective way to grow your garden. Plant your own vegetable or flower seeds and take home a four-pack to get started.
