This September, all are welcome at the St. Edward Center for Urban Agriculture for a four-part series focused on cooking, preserving fresh produce, and preparing your garden for the colder months ahead.

What's Cooking in the Garden?
Thursday, September 3, 5 p.m.
See what’s cooking in the garden! Join award-winning Chef Eric Wells as he prepares a seasonal risotto using fresh garden produce, then enjoy a taste of the finished dish. Registration is required. Tickets are $10 per person.

Your Personal Pickle Profile
Thursday, September 10, 5 p.m.
Steve Baker of West Creek Conservancy brings his mobile field kitchen to teach the basics of quick pickling. Choose your favorite vegetables and flavors, then create a custom jar of pickles to take home. Registration is required. Tickets are $10 per person.

Putting the Garden to Bed
Thursday, September 17, 5 p.m.
Prepare your garden for the colder months ahead. Central State University Extension agent Andrzej Czarniecki will cover cover crops, season extension, overwintering plants, and other winter preparation essentials. Registration is required. This event is free.

Lost in the Sauce
Thursday, September 24, 5 p.m.
Steve Baker returns to demonstrate how to transform an abundant tomato harvest into a delicious, versatile, and shelf-stable sauce you can enjoy throughout the winter. Registration is required. Tickets are $10 per person.
