St. Edward High School invites all members of the community - students, parents, alumni, faculty/staff and friends to participate in a variety of Community Enrichment Programs offered throughout the 2016-17 school year.
Stress Management for the Spiritually Awake
These sessions help you to get at the spiritual and mental health foundations of a good stress management program. We'll look at the research and explore tools including guided imagery, journaling, keeping an energy bank, enlarging our gratefulness and many other exercises, tips and tricks for beefing up our self care and living a fuller, more contented and whole and holy life.

Christ Alive!
This stimulating program will invite you to study and pray the joining together of evolutionary thinking and Christian spirituality. You will see your life journey in the ever-creating context of our 13.8 billion year-old universe.

Sitting in Silence
Enter into meditation, learning how to do it and the why of doing it. This introductory program will help you to understand and practice meditation and then practice it as a Christian prayer.

Women in Scripture
Prepare for Lent as we look at women who were thoughtful, resourceful, and downright feisty. We’ll explore the culture that shaped the lives of biblical women and get a strong sense of them as real people living everyday lives that were nonetheless extraordinary. These sessions are not lectures, but reflect adult learning best practices and most participants will find them engaging, skill building and refreshing.

All Is Luminous!
Enrich your life exploring the insights of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin S.J. Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955) was an accomplished scientist, a mystic, and a Jesuit priest. Through his life and writings, he laid the groundwork for the emerging contemporary synthesis of evolutionary science and Christian faith.

Writing for Your Life
Explore personal journal writing for insight and personal growth. You will work with a variety of techniques for enriching your life journey through journal-keeping.

About the presenters
Michael Reiling M.Ed. retired after 23 years teaching in the Theology Department at SEHS. Mike currently does theological education programs for adults at several locations, and is also a guide for the Lolly the Trolley Cleveland tours. Kim Langley is a certified Spiritual Director with a Master’s Degree in Religious Education. She loves her work and is the President of LifeBalance Enterprises, Inc. with 20+ years experience as a retreat leader and speaker.
