JOB OPENINGS AT ST. EDWARD HIGH SCHOOL 

Assistant Track Coach 

*Cross Country & Long Distance 

Outdoor Track and Field Spring 2023 and Cross Country Fall 2023

 

St. Edward High School is seeking a qualified candidate who is mission-driven, highly motivated, team-oriented, and organized to join its Athletic Department as the Assistant Track Coach beginning March 1. 

Under the direction of the Head Track Coach the Assistant Coach will  assist with scheduling, and supervision of the Track program at St. Edward HS. Additionally, the Assistant Coach will assist with ensuring the Mission of St. Edward High School is exemplified during practice sessions and competitions.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, running techniques, training and direction to student athletes.

- Work collaboratively with the Head Track Coach and SEHS Athletic Department in the scheduling of practice times, contests and other track related activities.
- Utilize superior communication skills, demonstrate ability to respond well to multifaceted and complex situations, and display diplomacy and tact at all times.

Qualifications:
- Former High School or College Track athlete. 

- Current or past experience as a head coach or an assistant coach of a high school track program preferred.
- Must have completed all OHSAA requirements that include but are not limited to:

  • Pupil Activity Permit

  • Concussion Certificate

  • NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and the Ohio State component.

  • VIRTUS training, Protecting God’s Children

  • Finger Printing background check (done once job is offered @ no cost)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in the Holy Cross community, or a desire to learn about Holy Cross Spirituality

- Must be willing and able to coach evenings and weekends.

Assistant Track Coach 

*Shot Put & Discus

St. Edward High School is seeking a qualified candidate who is mission-driven, highly motivated, team-oriented, and organized to join its Athletic Department as the Assistant Shot Put and Discuss Coach for 2 seasons, indoor and outdoor track, through June 1, 2023. 

Under the direction of the Head Track Coach the Assistant Coach will  assist with scheduling, and supervision of the Shot Put and Discuss program at St. Edward HS. Additionally, the Assistant Coach will assist with ensuring the Mission of St. Edward High School is exemplified during practice sessions and competitions.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, shot put and discus throwing techniques, training and direction to student athletes.

- Work collaboratively with the Head Track Coach and SEHS Athletic Department in the scheduling of practice times, contests and other track related activities.
- Utilize superior communication skills, demonstrate ability to respond well to multifaceted and complex situations, and display diplomacy and tact at all times.

Qualifications:
- Former High School or College athlete in Shot Put or Discus throwing. 

- Current or past experience as a head coach or an assistant coach of a high school track program preferred.
